Amos Rothschild grew up on a working farm in the mountains of western Maine. He attended Yale University, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English language and literature. After college, he spent two years as a New York City Teaching Fellow, working at a South Bronx high school and earning an M.S. in Education from Fordham University. He completed his doctoral work at Boston University, where his dissertation research focused on English Renaissance literature and culture. At present, he is Assistant Professor of English at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Rockland County, New York. He has been involved with Great Books since 2005, and is eager to return to the Amherst campus this summer!
