Two important educational resources help support the mission of the Great Books Summer Program. These resources help ensure that we have the finest educators, carefully chosen readings, thorough training and exceptional campus facilities.

The Great Books Foundation

The Great Books Foundation, founded in 1947, is an independent, non-profit educational organization whose mission is to provide people of all ages with the opportunity to read, discuss and learn from the great works of literature. More than one million students participate in Junior Great Books, a nationally-acclaimed reading and discussion program used in thousands of public and private schools.

Early Advantage

The Great Books Summer Program is sponsored in part by Early Advantage, an innovative, educational publisher best known for bringing “Muzzy,” the BBC foreign language program to children in America.

The Great Books Summer Program is operated in association with The Great Books Foundation and sponsored by Early Advantage. The program is not sponsored by Amherst College or Stanford University. All names are trademarks of their respective owners.
