After receiving his degree in English from the University of California – Santa Cruz, Jacob Lewis entered the publishing field where he served for 12 years as the managing editor of The New Yorker magazine. After serving as the managing editor of the Conde Nast Portfolio, Jacob and New Yorker staff writer, Dana Goodyear co-founded Figment, an online community for teens and young-adults to create, discover, and share new reading and writing. This free site features excerpts of new books, interviews with authors, contests, conversations, and more.
