Elizabeth Sheinkman is a literary agent who joined the London office of William Morris Endeavor in September 2012. Elizabeth began her publishing career in the New York editorial departments of Oxford University Press and Alfred A. Knopf before joining the Elaine Markson Agency in 1996. In 2004 she moved to London to set up their UK office as Partner and Director. She went on to become a senior agent and director at Curtis Brown for six years where she represented a broad range of award-winning and best-selling authors on both sides of the Atlantic. Clients have included Booker-shortlisted Steve Toltz (A Fraction of the Whole), National Book Award-finalist Marcel Theroux (Far North), Kim Edwards (The Memory Keeper's Daughter), Elif Shafak (Honour), Melanie Gideon (Wife 22), Tim Butcher (Blood River), Rupert Isaacson (The Horse Boy), New Yorker cartoonist Marisa Acocella Marchetto, and UK journalists Adam LeBor, Mick Brown, Sean O’Hagan and Hephzibah Anderson.
Elizabeth Sheinkman and Jamie Byng met at Book Expo in New York in spring 2002,married in England in summer 2005 and live in London with their two young children, Nathaniel and Ivy.
